Waterfall

It begins with clear glass droplets, representing the pure crystal waters at the waterfall’s source. Gently undulating, the droplets catch Roseville’s vibrant array of native leaves and petals. As they stream downward over five stories, the droplets transform: tiny bubbles appear, capturing the energy and dynamics of water in motion. Toward the bottom, the bubbling intensifies, evoking churning and foaming as the water accelerates to its destination.

Hand-sculpted using hot glass techniques, each droplet—whether clear or bubble-filled—was meticulously shaped to illustrate the evolution of falling water. Comprising over 1,800 individual glass elements, the sculpture is suspended from the 5th-floor ceiling, descending nine feet above the ground floor within the main staircase.

Visitors ascending the stairway from the 1st to the 5th floor experience the waterfall’s evolving textures and the subtly changing colors of the dichroic glass petals and leaves, which harmonize with each floor’s interior color scheme.
